FAQs

Do you offer home visits services?

Yes we do. Due to our two conveniently located clinics across the Illawarra, we are able to provide home visit services to the far north and south of the Illawarra.

Are you an NDIS provider?

Unfortunately we are no longer NDIS registered however, we are still able to treat all self-managed and plan managed participants.

Do you have HICAPs?

Yes we do at both our Wollongong and Shellharbour clinics. This will save you the time and hassle of having to go to your health fund or email them the receipt for the rebate. If covered you will only be required to pay the gap.

Do you bulk bill for Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plans?

No we don’t bulk bill. We do have the facilities available to claim the Medicare rebate for you in clinic if you have your Medicare card and an eftpos or debit card with an active cheque or savings account with you. Otherwise, we will need to provide you with a receipt for you to physically take with you to the nearest Medicare in Wollongong or Shellharbour for rebate reimbursement if you are eligible.

Will my health fund cover any of my podiatry consultation and if so how much?

This is 100% dependent on your health fund and level of cover. It is always best for you to ring up your health fund and ask them prior to you consultation so it’s not a shock at all.

Do I need a referral

No referral is required. However, if you have been referred by a GP, specialist or any other allied health professional and they provide you with a referral letter please bring this along as it may contain useful information for our podiatrists.

What should I bring along to my consultation?

  • Referral letter/paperwork (if you have been given one)
  • Any relevant scans (X-ray, ultrasound, CT’s or MRI’s etc.
  • Commonly worn shoes e.g. Sports shoes/school shoes/work shoes
  • Update medication lists
  • Medicare card/health fund card (if applicable)
